winnipeg canada to cancun mx

hello amigos ;
my wife & i are making this trip on my '06 GS Adv leaving august 4 & returning august 24. we are planning on riding south to corpus cristi tx & turning right & riding the gulf coast to cancun.
we will stop at veracruz & MAY ; depending on our progress ride cross country to puerto vallarta & back north home.
we would enjoy hearing from anyone who ;
a) would care to ride with us for a portion of the trip or
b) anyone who would care to let us camp in their backyard for 1 night along our route
c) anyone who could recommend a relatively quick route across mx ; gulf side to pacific side
d) any other helpful info
thank you & see you in the wind

You will be need to ride Day and Night. You can make Cancun in a Week riding in Daylight Hours and not stopping except for gas, as the roads even through Mexico are fairly straight and fast. Coming up the West side however, you start to travel through the mountains and it gets to be a lot more fun, but expect to average 50 KMH on some days. And that is scrapping your pegs on most curves. If I had to choose betwee the west side and the east side, it would be goodbye Cancun, hello Puerto Vallarta.
