Minimum 6 weeks - End Sept to November
Ferry to Spain
Ride through Spain
Ferry to Morocco
Down the west coast to Mauritania - want to see Atar this time
Then either Mali or Senegal
Mali - visa required - probably before departure
Mauritanian - visa required - Casablanca
Mostly hotels/hostels - not expensive
Road and piste
If all that fails then maybe a leisurely trip to the Middle East and Syria!
A small pointer about the visa:
in Casablanca but in Rabat, also it's easy to optain a 3days transit visa at the border, after that you can easily get an extention in Nouadhibou/Nouackchott and sometimes in Atar. According to this Thread
it is, since a few months, possible to get a full visa at the border if you dare asking for it!
Mali: easy to get visa in Nouackchott and there are some threads here on the HUBB mentioning it should be possible to get one at the border.
Have a good time.
cheers (I have to wait a few more months).
