Hi there,
I am overlanding from the UK to South Africa and are currently hanging around in Ghana, Accra. I am staying at a guest house in the Osu area, which has more space to camp if you are interested. I would like to meet up for that if you are interested. I am in fact looking for other overlanders to drive through Nigeria and down the South Africa. Are you stopping/returning home from Nigeria or are you planning to carry on?
I will be in Accra to at least the end of August. My mobile is 00 233 (0)244 084677 so give me a call when you get here.
See ya later, David

PS If you want to know more about my trip, go have a look at my website: www.walkabout2408.com

We're hoping to be in Accra within the next week, maybe a little sooner, currently in Bamako. Then we'll be heading for Lagos.

I'll call when we get there...

I am planning on being down at Big Milly's, Kokrobite (a cool campsite, in lonely planet, if you have one with you) for the weekend.
Mobile coverage is not great so if you can't get through, you know where I am.

Hope to meet soon, David

Hi ya, I don't have the GPS waypoint at hand, but it is on my website (address above on previous post) Go to the route section and open the exel document, call campsites. In there you will find all you need.
I am at least going to stay until late Sunday, maybe Monday. Hope to see you there, otherwise we can meet in Accra.
Cheers, David

Finally made it to Accra - timing belt tensioner bearings collapsed and I had to rebuilt it in Kumasi...

Currently in the Busyinternet; are you in Accra now? I think I saw you driving out towards the airport this morning - we were driving in towards the city to come to the internet cafe.

my mobile won't call out but sometimes takes incoming calls - but not always! +44 7967 660965

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
