Tunisia / Algeria / Niger Nov/Dec 2005 anyone?

Anyone thinking of going this way at the end of 2005 been looking at doing this route for a number of years but will need to travel with others to cover costs of guide through Algeria. Will be traveling on R80G/S. Have already ridden this bike to Capetown via east coast route and have worked in West/Central Africa for a few years so have a little experience. If anyone has done this route recently I would like to hear from you. Regards Chris

Just to bring this topic back to the top without re posting.
2 bikes now ready for departure early November 2005 need others to help cover cost of guide through Algeria so if anyone is thinking of going from Tunisia to Niger through Algeria maybe we could hook up for this leg of the trip and make it afordable. Regards Chris

Chris,

How much have you been quoted for the guide and how long are you planning to stay in Algeria?
Asking as I plan to do your route in reverse next year.
Geoff
