Mexico

Looking to make my first trip to Mexico. I've got a totally flexible schedule and don't necessarily need to be back right away. I can leave anytime after Christmas Day. I think it would be nice to go with someone who has some experience in the country and language skills. F650 Dakar. Lots of riding experience.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'll learn a few key phrases and go. I'm leaving Christmas day or Day after. I'm riding baja though. Good luck.

Actually, that's where I want to go. I was wondering whether I needed to mention that as opposed to "Mexico." Let me know if you care for some company. I can ride/ship my bike to LA or San Diego

Northwest riders: Seattle to Cabo S.L. in Feb 2005. Put your bike in the back of the pickup with my Suzuki. Truck them to San Diego, ditch the truck and ride the Baja peninsula!

LOL, man you're really pushin' for Feb. aren't you. Sorry, I'm leaving Christmas or day after.

As far as riding to Mexico some company probably wouldn't hurt. I plan on crossing the border on the 27th. I'm riding a GS1150 Adventure. I've got all my camping gear ready to go. I'll send you an email or feel free to send one to me.

If you go thru Manzanillo, all the way down the pacific coast thru Acapulco, I will be on the road the first week of Jan. Maybe we can join.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
