Georgia via Russia to "Stans"

Hi

In Georgia now heading for Russia soon. Then Kaz and Uz. Riding solo after my girlfriend left me in Istanbul (for work, not because I'm terrible company!).
Would be nice with some company onwards. I'm flexible but want to be in Tashkent around 14th Sep and would like to avoid too many 100EUR hotel nights. I have tent.

Send a msg if interested!

hi, unfortunately it's rather the other way. I need to keep speed up so I can return from stans around end of Sep.

Too bad, maybe next time

Good luck anyway. I will try to share info if something unexpected happens on the road. Developments on the landslide situation in Georgia or whatever it might be.

I'm planning on buying a bike in either Mongolia or Tajikistan in August/September and heading towards Europe. If your looking for company on your way back to Europe/Georgia perhaps we could meet up. Will you be rushed back to Europe or will you take your time? I'm planning on exploring the Pamirs and I'll have a couple months to get to Europe.

I'm headed eastbound from the UK, most likely in the next couple of weeks. I'll be in the 'Stans roughly from late June/July onwards, with no specific plan of action, though if I had time I would love to make it to Mongolia for a bit. I'm travelling London to Sydney solo via a 660Z Tenere. I'd like to cross China, most likely to Laos, at the end of August.

If you - or anyone else for that matter - fancy meeting up, drop me a message.

Ed

Hi Daz... Yeah I have a 30 day visa for Kaz valid from 13th July. I then have a Russian visa valid from 3rd August so would like to be at the Russian border for the start of that tpo get to Vladivostok before it expires on 31st August.. It is however a dual entry visa so i could exit to Mongolia and re-enter.

I'm staying in Italy till the end of the month to catch the MotoGP round at Mugello but will push on a bit after that.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark
I've got a bossiness visa for Russia so can enter as much as I want, going to take advantage of the 15 day free entry to Kazakhstan which expires 15 July 2015 and same again 30 days to Mongolia expires Dec 2015. the rough plan is to get to Vlad before it gets cold then to South Korea - then three plans
1. fly to Aus
2 . Ship to Aus
3. Island hop to Aus but need one visa
Also just about to meet another rider going to Kazakhstan tomorrow evening at Cappadocia Robert Fothergill. I will keep an eye out for you but looks like it will be on the latter part of the trip.
