Colombia -- now (Sept 2010)

Hi, my Suzuki DR 650 and I just landed in Bogota about to ride for six months down to TDF. Thought I'd spend a few weeks in Colombia and I just finished reading Larry's tale of being robbed in Cali. Anyone out there want to ride a bit with me? Don't have fixed schedule. Heading to Equador likely in a couple of weeks.

Adrienne,
Hope your foot has healed up and hope you are doing well. We are in Mendocino, CA at the moment and taking a break from riding for a day. Hope to catch up before you leave Argentina.

D & A,

The foot is basically all healed up. I only worry every once in a while when the bike is teetering to that side... but so far so good. You guys are making some good miles, yes? I'm not. I'm realizing that I'm quite slow and like my afternoon naps. I hope I build up some stamina or the whole six months may just be Colombia and a bit of Peru.

Staying with friends in San Diego at the moment and planning on crossing into Mexico on Monday where things will slow down considerably. Had an amazing time on Hwy 1 and will definitely have to come back to visit all the friends we have made.
As long as you are having fun, it doesn't matter how far you get.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
