Help!

Me and 2 friends all 18 are planning on driving 15000miles from London through europe through russia into mongolia kazakhstan and then back through russia and europe to home for charity. Th is is the first expedition any of us have done so are all vastly inexperienced. We are planning on taking a land rover 110, but have heard we may have issues with the reliability! People have also talked about the risk of getting jacked in russia and eastern european countries such as belarus. If anyone could just give us some information either by email of on here we would be highly grateful! Charles
