Digital photo's

Can anyone advise on the best way to post digital pictures on the web. We have our own website - www.mervandruth.com - and will be looking to post pictures as we travel around, We are taking a digital camera along with a laptop. Should we copy our pictures onto a 'floppy' then send them from a internaet cafe?

Colin Clements from www.angelfire.com/journal/overland sends me his photos from internet cafe's and where there is no access, he sends them to me on floppy - main problem he experienced was the speed of the internet connection, thus the floppy discs.

PS - your website gives no indication of where you are going? Any hints?

You can FTP your photos direct to your website from either your laptop or an internet cafe using Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater.

Simply type in ftp://www.(yoursitename).com You will be asked for your username and password for the site.

A window (similar to Windows Explorer) will open. Drag the new folders into the window, or use Copy/Paste.

The other option is to download cuteFTP (or some other FTP program) from shareware.com and use that program to upload your photos.

If you have other questions, send us an email directly bmw@UltimateJourney.com
