Beware of illegal towing scam that is happening in Pacific Beach, San Diego, California. Specifically, at the Surfer Beach Hotel. Even though you pay for parking in the hotel lot, Western Towing is illegally taking cars. Police can do NOTHING about it because the hotel is private property. I had to pay $246 to get my car back. SDPD says this happens all the time and my only recourse is through civil legal action. Be Careful!
