Motorcycle travel to Korea
The English version of the petition to repeal the ban on motorcycle travel to (South) Korea is done at last!
Background information and petition are at: http://www.rurubu.co.jp/info/bike/ The originally planned HTML form didn't work. So you will have to cut and paste the petition into an E-mail. Deadline is April 15, 2001 If you have any problems or questions, feel free to E-mail me. I will pass them along to the organizers. Chris Lockwood Tokyo, Japan

Follow up to Korean petition:
About 2500 "signatures" were received on the petition to open up S. Korea to motorcycle travel. The petition has yet to go to President Kim because the organizers felt that the upcoming ride to North Korea in August would be a better time with the publicity that should be gained by the event. See http://www.iamta.com/ for details on the ride. Supposedly the president of the Korea Motorcycle Federation has some contacts in the government and will be willing to help out with getting the petition through. Just thought I would pass on some information I came upon.
