Rupert,did you do any camping in eastern europe and if so how were the sites? - price and general condition etc.

Normally, in ex-comi contries you can camp anywhere you want unless it is a nature or other reserve. In this case you have to go to a dedicated place. They used to have a bloke (park range) who walked around and moved people which were camped in the wrong places. I suppose if you are foreign they will try to get a fine off you.
