year of manufacture
i know this might seem i pretty stupid question, but my knowlegde on bikes is poor. anyway ive (im in panama city) seen a used dr250, but they are very vague about what year it is. is there anything stamped on the frame to give an indication. thanks

I have wrestled with the very same question on the DR650SE and have not been able to find any definite answers.
If your bike has a US VIN number plate then you can look up the year on a list on the web. Otherwise, ring a Suzuki dealer and ask. They have ways of finding out. |

I have a DR650RSE and was told it was a '97 model. I was suspect about that and found out it was a '96 model by writing to Suzuki in Germany where the bike was first registered.
