TS 185 Electrics
Hi Folks
Any ideas ?? I have a TS 185 ER (1980) which runs when the key switch is set in the middle position, no lights etc, however when I turn the key to the next position, the engine cuts out immediately. Whilst I am asking questions... how do you differentiate between the ERN ERT and ERX ?? I believe mine is a ERN ?? Thanking you happy folks Kevin (Cambridgeshire UK) |

Hi Kevin sounds like a faulty key switch or a short on the lights try un plugging the front/rear lights and the light switch if it works just trace the fault back from there. steve

From what I can remember of my TS185 the third position was just parking lights without the engine running, the lights came on with a separate handlebar switch on the left next to the dip switch.
