Visa Entente
Or whatever it's called. The visa for several west african countries... Does anyone know where to get it... and is it available in Mali? We'll be going through Bamanko in the next few days and are hoping to pick one up there.

As of a year agao it wasn't available in Mali ... you should maybe try calling the Togo & Benin embassies to verify it's still the case.
I presume you're heading east from Mali, if so pick one up in Ouaga, they issue them there in the 'immigration shed' about 1km out of the centre of town ... Kira

Visa Touristique Entente
I tried at the Togo consulate in Bamako a few weeks ago and they weren't handing out any VTE's. I didn't try the Benin embassy, so you might give that a try but as far as I could see (and heard from others who had tried) the only place I came across that issues it is, as Kira says, at the immigration office in Ouagadougou (there are full details about this on a recent post on the Africa branch of the thorntree forum, but I can't find the link at the moment).

Where it's possible to get a VTE ...
Maybe there should be a thread on the positives ...
1. Ouagadougou, immigration shed issues it (25,000CFA) 2. Benin Embassy, Deux Plateaux, ABIDJAN issues it (20,000CFA in 4hrs) 3.
