We will be in Cato ridge near Pietermaritzburg in June 2010.I am looking for a 250/400 trail bike for a few days to go up the Sani-pass and on to Mokhotlong, and then back again.Does anyone know of hire companies in that area, and also where are the fuel stops in that area of Lesotho.Cheers

Hi Martman,

Pete & Bruce are still around, but looks like they will ship the bikes by the end of the month to Thailand.

crappy weather on the Sani.

Cheers Thomas.Yep figured it would be a bit chilly, but to be honest I spent my youth(misspent) on a variety of cheap crappy bikes riding in our long crappy winters, finding that cables freeze solid in minus 15 degrees centigrade at 60 MPH.Oh joy!. So a paddle up the Sani pass on another crappy old traillie in rain/snow/wind/sunshine would fairly take me back.Plus I don't have to take the wife on the back,AND she thinks I am more mental than usual, therefore when I tell her that I had to thaw out in a five star bunkhouse somewhere, she won't moan too much.

OK Thomas, so the frosty stands (cold), and Sangobegger, why not trail all the way to Hazyview for a frosty, it's also warm here, even in winter!
