Visa still very high

For people still looking at this thread, I crossed the border from Mali on June 16, 2014 and the price for a VISA was 94000CFA or about $200 USD. Quite unreasonable. I don't know what the price is in the embassy in Bamako.

That's why you should get it at the embassy.
I bought 3 days transit at the border for 24000CFA in January
For that I could have had a full visa
Also group visa much cheaper, 12000

Hello everyone.

Does anyone have the coordinates for the embassy or directions, I have the address but am struggling to find it on google maps and my sat nav.

I pick up my Mali visa tomorrow in Dakar and intend to get the Burkina Faso visa in Bamoko.

Cheers Zed.

Zed,

BF Embassy in Bamako not shown on Google Maps but is approx 250 m east of American Embassy, 100m north of Ave de la Nation (RN5), as in Bradt's Mali 3rd edition 2009. Approx location is 12.630876N, -8.015289W. Hope this helps.
Peter

Thank you Peter.
Co-ordinates stored, at least I know I will be in the right part of the city. Shouldn't be a problem now.

Can anyone confirm the cost at the Sikasso (Mali) border? Given the recent events in Mali I'd like to avoid Bamako completely.

Does anyone has up to date information on the visa prices for BF?

Both at embassies and land borders.

And addresses of BF embassies in the neighbouring countries?

Cheers
