Niger -> Nigeria at Diffa?

Hi,

Has anyone used this border crossing recently? Is there a boat/bridge across the river, and what is the road like once you get to Nigeria?

cheers,
Doug

Hi,
yes we crossed the border 10 days ago from Diffa to Damasak. It is straightforward, there is a bridge over the Komadougou River. Nigerian Passport control is right after the bridge, customs about 20 kilometers south in Damasak (piste), there a good tarmac road leads to Maiduguri. The last tourists crossed Feb 22nd.

Regards
Tobias
