Ethiopia: July or December?

Does anyone have any advice/ suggestions on whether it's best to visit the Ethiopian Highlands in July or December, as I need to choose one of these times? I'd really appreciate any information on the weather conditions if you've been there at these times of year (particularly the rains and temperatures) and how they might affect a trip there. I'm also keen to hear of top places to go to and what to avoid.

I went in November and got wet ... I had rain in Cape Town, half an hour each in Mozambique and Kenya, and two days in the mountains. it was all good and I want to go back! I'd probably plump for December, but that's mostly hunch. did you check www.weatherunderground.com? you can check forecasts and history for various towns

Hi Rich
Your email was blocked so I'm trying via this post:

We want to visit Addis soon - do you have any comments on the Nairobi to Addis route via Moyale?

Thanks
