Dakar to Cape Town starting next week

Dear fellow overlanders, on 2, 4 or more wheels,

I just wanted to let you know that my wife Constanze and I have recently arrived in Dakar (from Argentina, after a year traveling in the Americas) with our Land-Rover Defender, where we are now visa-shopping and generally getting ready to head off towards South Africa next week.

The planned route should take us through Mali, Burkina, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, the Congos, Angola and Namibia to South Africa, where we will turn around and head back to Europe via the Eastern Route.

As it is always fun to encounter other travelers, or even do parts of the trip with more cars, let us know if you're in the neighbourhood, and we'll share a couple of s and travel stories.

We can be reached via email: "snails AT snailtrails.lu" or via our website at "www DOT snailtrails DOT lu".

Looking forward to meeting some of you en route!

Georges & Constanze
