Cabinda Ferry
Does anyone know if it's possible to take a car on the Cabinda-Luanda ferry in Angola? I know this is a bike forum, and that a number of bikers have got on this boat, but am trying to find out if we're travelling in a group with both bikes and cars, if we can all get on this boat or not and avoid travelling through DR Congo.
Thanks in advance, ZB |

Not at all answering your question but...
If you're prepared to travel trough Congo Brazaville and Angola, there's no reason to avoid the Bas Congo. Except maybe during the elections, but still, Matadi is not Kinchassa. In my experience, Congo Brazaville has more to think about then the Cabinda-Matadi-Angola part of the route. ;-) |

hello,
are you with the group that go down at the moment from the uk to cape town ? I have taken this ferry, but from Soyo to Cabinda, in 01/2005. Sorry, no cars can go on this ferry. Maybe (maybe ...) you can find a cargo boat going ... but this will take time ... so you will have to go thru DRC. enjoy mika |
