Angola Visa!!??
I am stuck in point noire, congo, and cant go any further south.
I believe that the angolans have recently changed their border post issued transit visa policy. has anyone recently travelled through angola southwards who can give me advice on getting this damn visa?? cheers orrin

As much I know in recent years it has been not possible to get Angolan visa on border. You'll need to apply in Pointe-Noire consulate. Seach for "angola visa", there have been several threads here in the past.

try as a flight tourist
I got a visa for angola last Nov. at the pointnoire. They never issue visa for overlanders but they can issue visa for air flight tourist.
I got a visa as a air flight tourist(I mean flying into luanda and out to windhoek and so on) then ride into cabinda but I didnt have any problem on the border and road. You need some paper works, they give you 5days transit visa.

I think it's a no go traveling south through PN, I met three guys a couple of weeks ago there who had no joy.
Best ride east to Matadi i was there 4 weeks ago got the visa the same day $80. Best of luck Michael

Try this...?
NOt sure if this is relevant for a transit visa - but try and contact the Rio Longa Camp (Deep Sea Fishing Lodge) in Angola - at the very least they will be able to give you advice on the current situation
