Multi bike/country trip

Before I start burning the midnight planning oil, can anyone see a no-can-do blocker in this plan which is built around avoiding Indian sea/airport hassle with my own moto and the 125cc limit in S.E.Asia.

1. Fly from the UK to India, buy/rent bike, ride around India for 3 months, if still alive sell/return bike.

2. Fly from India to Vietnam, buy small bike and ride through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia to Singapore taking about 4-5 months, if still alive sell/throw away bike.

3. Befriend beautiful Singaporian billionairess and sail home on her luxury 100m long motorboat c/w piano bar. (no sex involved, I have a bad back)

Ride safe,

maybe that refers to the fact, that most bikes that you´ll see in SE Asia, are not much bigger than 100cc?

parts 1-2 should by all accounts be do-able... part 3 would be the hardest for me - I think my back would really be in a bad shape, when I got home

I misread your original post and thought the 125 limit refered to your travel insurance . I met people in most SE Asian countries with bigger bikes than 125, 400 cc and bigger were in all countries but very rare in Vietnam where you cannot take a foreign registered bike anyway.

You should have no problems Mr. Fox.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, looks like it´s time to get down to some serious planning and back exercises. Ride safe.

My take on the region here:

Chicken Chasers

(that was just a school exercise on web design... actually the first webpages that I´ve made, and it probably shows! plus I don´t have the license to that software any more, so been unable to update it... but anyway, hope it´s of any help!)
