Leaving the bike for a week in vientiane

I've searched for this a few times, no definitive answer yet. I'm looking for a place to park my bike for a week while I fly to Vietnam for a week to Visit a friend. I also have some, luggage that I'd like to leave that's not secured to the bike too.

The luggage doesn't seem to be a problem, any guesthouse should take it, but most of the guesthouses I've seen in vientiane don't have anywhere to leave the bike.

I checked the parking at wattay airport but signs up everywhere about fines for overnight parking. The motorbike parking guy said 20000kip for overnight, but I don't think he liked the idea of a week.

Any hints? I'm still asking around locally too.

Hi,
we stayed in Vientiane a couple of days ago at Mimis guest house.
They have a garage in the house and we were allowed to park our bikes there. They also have their rental scooters in there. The rooms are not very nice but cheap (50000 Kip/night)
Maybe you could leave your bike there. I guess its worth asking.

The guest house is here:

Thanks for the replies.

I found a bike rental place that has a large workshop area nearby and I'm using that for the week while I'm away. I'll get them to do a quick service when i get back so I'm not abusing their generosity

I won't name it because I get the odd feeling they might not want their workshop used like this all the time, but it's pretty obvious to find if you're looking at large bikes!
