HI folks.

I have asked Grants permission to put the up as this man is not a biker but he is from my town in Ireland and I am .

please have a look at the info below and if you have been in any of the areas listed or know anyone who is, or if you have any information , no matter how small please let me know .

As you can imagine his family are gravely worried.

it is English and Spanish

Thanks a lot

Argentina a Chile.

http://ronanlawlortravels.spaces.live.com/

Mail written on 7th Dec 07.

Ronan Lawlor, who has been travelling through Argentina and Chile, has been out of contact with his family and friends since the middle of last month. This is extremely unusual for him. His last know movements detected were at the Monte Aymond border crossing on 22 nd Nov where he crossed from Argentina to Chile. This is very close to the southern tip of South America and the geography means that he would need to cross the border a number of times before reaching Ushuaia (southern Argentina) where he was scheduled to take a flight to Buenos Aires on 25th Nov. He doesn't appear to have made any further border crossing back into Argentina and didn't make the flight.

Ronan is 5ft10'', Greenie/Blue eyes, Slim Build, Irish, Chemical Engineer, Age 28, and he is very Sociable and Outgoing. His last movements included travelling through El Calafate and spent three days in Torres del Paine National Park. You can see his photos on his blog ( Ronan's Travels).

We would very much appreciate any information that might help us locate Ronan. The best way to contact is via this email address that has been set up specially: inforonan@gmail.com

Kindest regards,
Ronan's family and friends.

Ronan Lawlor

Hi Folks .

Just to say thanks to anyone who kept an eye out for Ronan.
Unfortunately the story has not ended well they have found his clothes is a river but no body.
It is thought that he fell in the river into some rapids and drowned.

We are unlikely to find his body but at least his family and friends can now get some closure and start to move on.

Ronan died doing something he loved and we hope he is at rest.

Again thanks to everyone who responed

Gary

Gary,

I think I speak for a lot of people on the HUBB when I say that we're all very sorry to hear this news, which is hard for any family to deal with, especially at Christmas. Our thoughts are with them.

Dept liaising with Lawlors after body find

Monday, 7 January 2008 17:55

The Department of Foreign Affairs is liaising with the family of Ronan Lawlor, whose body has been found in southern Chile.
Mr Lawlor, 28, went missing on 18 November after he went into the Torres del Paine national park on the Argentina-Chile border.

The Co Laois man's body was found by tourists in a remote spot near the three towers mountain peaks in the centre of the park where he went missing

A spokesman for Mr Lawlor's family said a passport was found close to the body and that they were awaiting formal confirmation of the identity.

HI Folks

I dont want to keep on about this, but just to confirm that they found Ronan's body and they are now busy trying to fly him home for a funeral service and burial which should take about 10 days from now.
its sad but the parents are at lest glad they can bring him home to bury him.
