Hotel Recommendations in Cartagena Colombia

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Cartagena with safe motorcycle parking, private double rooms and air conditioning that won't cost me an arm and a leg? We would normally just ride around and find a place but my sister and her husband are coming to visit us in July for 2 weeks so we need to book a place.

A friend suggested Casa Mara in Getesmani area but she heard that the Italian lady owner was selling the place and it may not be so good now. Has anyone stayed there recently?

Thanks,
Carol Duval

Looks like you are moving north. The Hostels are in the old town area, but if you are looking for AC there were hotels around the bay to the northwest from old town. No idea on costs or names. Found the costs in Columbia to be very reasonable, one hot afternoon I spotted a real nice place with pool so I decided to splurge, cost $27 US.
