Hi Matt! Hope you enjoyed Lima. There are some nice places in Av. Pardo, a parallel of the main drag; Av. El Sol. It's a big wide street with a park in the center and big old Tudor style houses on each side. A few of them have been converted into hostels. They have big walled frontpatios and prices between 20 and 40 soles. You can also ask around for Hostal El Puma. I heard it was remodeled and has good parking space.
Good Trip!!

Hi Matt!

Estrellita is a good place to stay and it is cheep! I think it was 12,- Pesos includet breakfast and free tee all day! It is basic but good and friendly people! The streetname was Tullumayo 445 or 454 or 545, i am not sure. But when you drive uphill than it is just 50m before the slightly turn on the right hand side! Look out, it is just a smal dark sign on the wall!

Good luck, Appie!

Hi Matt! we met yesterday in front of Norton rats Tavern, i hope you found a good hostel. We are also looking for something in Cusco, namely a place to work on the bike, would anybody have some suggestions on this?
See you in the Norton rats tavern!

Hello. This isn't relavent, but i was curious. Near the Plaza was a pub called The Crosskeys, and down the street was a 3 storie dance club called Mamma Africa's. Are they still there? The pub had a wall of photos of naked travellers on the Solar. I was last here late 1999.
Thanx!

We can recommend Hotel Caceres, just one block away from the Plaza. Here is a picture (with the bikes!):

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
