Advice Needed: Motorcycling in Quito,Ecuador

Headed to Quito in July:
I'm looking for information on the availablity of used small/cheap motorcycles in Quito,Ecuador. If anyone has knowledge of the motorcycle market in Quito (or Ecuador in general) I would really appreciate some advice. A bike in the 125cc - 250cc size range would be ideal and would be used as basic transportation while traveling around Ecuador (in short stints with minimal baggage/gear). A common brand and model is desired for spare part availability.

What about a Honda Bros NXR 125? Are these available (used) in Quito?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Smile no worries

I am not sure about brands etc, but there is enough available in Ecuador. From big to small (bikes that is).

I seem to remember a Honda explorer? It's like the little sister of the Transalp, 350 cc, lookes very nice.
But there is lots and lots more.

Talking damn straight

Without doubt the two best places to find used bikes in Ecuador are as follow
Patiodemotos.com --El portal del motociclismo ecuatoriano-- and Bienvenidos a MercadoLibre in the Ecuador section in the section motos!!!

Does anyone know if I'll have to obtain an RUT (tax ID number?) prior to purchasing a motorcycle in Ecuador?
