Visa for Algeria

I have a specific question:
I'm trying to obtain this visa with the help of an Algerian agency: I've asked for it one month ago (it's for a Ajjer trip in October) and I haven't any info about if I will obtain this visa or no.

The man at the agency asked for the authorisation at the Direction of Tourism and th e reply is OK.
But after the process is to transfer the demand to MFA in Algiers then to Algerian ambassad in Paris then to my consulate.
And he has no info about that.
I've already brought my application to my consulate and they said I have to wait .... but until when, they don't know .....?
So I have a second option (because I have already bought my tickets): I have an invitation from an Algerian friend in Algiers and I suppose I can ask for a visa with it (in this case only to travel in northern part of the country).

MY QUESTION: Is it possible for me to make a second application for this visa with this invitation? Or have I to change the first application?
Before asking to the consulate, I prefer have some advices from travellers in the same situation (or from anybody else).

I will visit Algeria in September. I have an visa for 30 days. I travel with my Honda Africa Twin in the north and independent (no guide). Maybe i will extent my Visa for another 1 1/2 month.

if You stay in the North and drive an Bike, maybe we can meet?

Long story and 10 times visiting the consulate.

In short;

- I needed to give them 2 copies of all my docs. This was send to Algiers because I was not going by airplane but on my motorcycle.

- Algiers takes time....

- I was accepted, and they found out that they have no copies anymore. So i give then a new set of copies.

It took me 2 months.

If i was going by airplane it could take 2 weeks maximum. But driving your own vehicle is not wanted in Algeria.

Next week I do the border crossing. I get help from an Algerian -enduro driver- who i met in the hotel in Tunisia. We will do the border crossing at the same time. Just a lot of luck until now. Later more...

But take Your time. And go in en out the consulate. Let them know You have friend s in Algeria. This makes them more relaxed.
