River running under Sahara (yep!?!)
Check this one out:
The Daily Express reports that Russian scientists have just found a raging river 200 meters under the Sahara, flowing somewhere near Atar in Mauritania. The revelation came after composite satellite imaging of the area. They say its enough to give water to 50.000 people! The Russian find has been confirmed by the government of Mauritania who have conducted there own tests. (from Dagbladet, a Norwegian daily newspaper) GF |

Hm, any chance of a photo of the Mauritanian research team?!
Sam. (Images of a forked stick spring (sic) to mind). |

Well... No photos available, but hey, I just thought that if the Chinese have been digging wells for more than 4000 years, maybe the Mauritanias could too. It's water we're talking about!
But then again its just a news story, and If we believe everything in the news... GF |

Oh ye of little faith. There are several underground rivers in North Africa.
