morrocco 7 years later

As it says the last time I was in morroc was 7 years ago, going again in january 2009.

The last time I was there it was a very quick trip for only 3 weeks there and back it was more of a spur of the moment thing.

The time before was 12 years ago when we spent a lot longer, 12 weeks there and then further south (thats another story)

I've started to read up on things again and there seams to be a few changes. i.e can you no longer change money at ceuta. European driving licience is it valid or not, read somewhere its not ..... is this true.

Anyway I've got six weeks off work starting the last week in december. What I would like to know is does anyone have any tips/tricks and must do routes for a six week trip.

Dont need to see rabat or cassa or any big white touring buses if you get my drift.

Got my roof tent out on friday ..... last time it was used was 7 years ago ..... nice layer of dust still inside, it still had that sandy/dusty/diesel smell.

We were only there 18 months ago and things have changed a bit since then. I expect you'll find more tar than last time too!!

I seem to remember that the currency office at the border has closed and that you may have to buy your insurance at an office a few miles from the border these days....
