Mauritanian visa in Gambia

Hi
The Mauritanian Embassy in Gambia, is situated off the coastal highway, you take the road opposit the Senegambia strip then take 1st left.
It takes 2 days at the most, & there are three options. 3 days - up to 3 months or 6 months, we had up to 3 months & cost 93 euros each & got receipt for 30,000 ogs each? which does not equate to 93 euros.

Thanks for that info, I followed it up and am getting my visas today. Arrived at 7am, Embassy did not open till 9am. Only two other people getting visas. Plenty of parking in the area.

Only down side is no 1 month visa - only 3day at 40something euro or 3 month at 90something euro.

One can specify when the visa is to start but with a three day this is hard to do.

Collection is same day at 1pm.

Does anyone have any experience of what happens if one breaks down half way across Mauritania on a three day visa?

In Serekunda (close to Banjul) indeed in 2 hours a visa for Mauritania. Multiple entry, 30 days, EUR 93,75. Don't have the coordinates, but the map in the LP helps; but please note that the place where the embassy is indicated on the map is wrong; it should be on the other side of road (50 m dirt road off the main road).

Quick visa

We found this embassy very easily using this thread, very welcoming staff, super efficient, no waiting whatsoever, visas took 1 hour! Got a 15 day single entry for 3750 dalasi (approx £70) if carslberg did visas they probably be as good as this!

latest info (oct 2013)

went to the mauritanian embassy in kololi, and the actual options are:
- 3 days for 15,000 UM or 46.875 EUR or 2390 DAL
- 3 months for 30,000 UM or 93.75 EUR or 4780 DAL
- 12 months for 40,000 UM or 125 EUR or 6375 DAL

prices are lower for Arab World and African countries.

there is, unfortunately, no 15 days option as mentioned on this thread. i specifically asked for this, but the answer was a polite, and firm, NO.

decided to do the visa in dakar instead.
