GPS information for Sahara wanted

Travellers

I'm being sponsored by Garmin Iceland on my trip to Sahara this August, and I would like to be able to use my GPSMap 76S as much as I can.

I'm looking for some travellers that might have GPS routes for Sahara. I could also use coordinates showing wells and other stuff. I prefere them to be stored in Mapsource format, but other formats can also be used.

I will be travelling through Egypt, Libya, Tunis, Algeria and Niger.

Dear geokobbi
Chris Scott posted this info in reply to another message recently.

Hi Kitmax

You must have misunderstood my equiry. I'm looking for travellers that have tracked some of the pists in Sahara with their GPS tool. For example the route between Tam and Djanet.

Many travellers must be using GPS, so some routes or tracks must be awailable. I haven't been surching to much on the web, to tell you the truth, but I will start doing that if I don't get any respond to this post.

I think you'll find Chris Scott has GPS'd many of his routes now - either in the book "Sahara Overland" and/or via. on-line updates at http://www.sahara-overland.com/
