Car duties (import/insurance/other) for Eastern Africa
At present we are planning to do a trip taking us from Tunesia through Lybia, Egypt, Sudan, etc. down to Cape Town.
I am looking for information regarding Import Duties, Road Taxes, Car Insurances, Shipment costs (Ferry from Egypt to Sudan for example). If you have recent experience (read: expenses) please inform all of us, and maybe Chris can run a summary somewhere?). I noted that some information regarding for example Egypt was on the site but not completely clear. And probably most of you have heard different stories/versions already about this. Your help is appreciated! By the time I have completed these parts of the journey I will update the information. Cheers, Jan Nouwens.
