Relly nice campsite. Stayed there for 3 nights. The owner was not present. So he had some locals to keep the site running. One of the guys was Mohammed, mysterious bloke, never got clever on him. But it was a good stay. On my second day in Mauritania I had all the
s I could ever want! So it is not difficult to get alcohol in Mauritania. Even at a police check point on the way to Atar I was offered Mauritanian woman, but kindly rejected the offer coming from an official. The safety and situation in Mauritania is fine, no bad episodes, I even rode at evening time after sunset. People are nice and welcoming. They even stop to see if you are okay, I you are having a break in the side of the road. The only place I didn't like was Nouakchott!
The police gets more gready on the way down south of Mauritania, but they got nothing from me. Just replied them "Do you think I am a bank?" and they laughed!
I can only recommand to visit Bab Sahara, especially if the owner is present!
