Algeria to Chad
Okay, loads of news on Niger the last days.
So what is the best route to Chad from Algeria? My plans where Algeria (Tam)-Niger (agadez)-Nigeria- Cameroon- Chad. It seems as little news about Mali the next would be a better option: Algeria (Tam)-Mali- Burkina Faso- Benin-Cameroon- Chad. What is your opinion. SHould we skip Niger from now or is Mali still far wors? CU Frank

I think your original route will be fine - the greater danger is in the Kaour and Aïr - on the highway you will be OK - safer than Tam - Mali that's for sure.
You can of course go Niger direct to Chad - no great problems down there near the lake. Chris S |
