thinking of wintering beliza guatemala
I m taking a year long trip and was thinking of wintering beliza guatemala . where have you stayed down there? smaller place outside of the tourist traps. Some place warm, cheaper. I really don't party my butt off so I m not looking of places like that. thanks

A good place inland to stop and think for a while is Comitan in Chiapas on the road between San Christobal and the Guat border. The hotel Delfin on the old town square is good with safe parking, lots of places with 'menu del dias' for around C$5.00 1 min walk away and a cantina just round the corner where the  is cheap. Go for a room away from the front patio which can get a little noisy. It's a good base for a couple of weeks with nice day rides which the little tourist office will tell you about. You should be able to get a discount if you ask them nicely but it should be less than C$20.00 a day. Give me a PM if you want anymore info. Ride safe.
