Black Sea ferry from Turkey to the Ukraine

Hi everyone from Istanbul!

We are trying to find a ferry that will get us & our motorbikes from Turkey to the Ukraine...

leaving from Istanbul or the west coast is ideal

It appears the UKR one has stopped running between Istanbul and Odessa

i didn't think it would be this tough to find something

I´ve never taken a boat in the Black Sea, but check out:

ferrylines.com: Europe's Ferry Booking Portal

At least there is some kind of info (though it seems kinda vague on exactly that area, but maybe it´s because the situation there changes all the time??)... for other seas around Europe, it´s been pretty accurate.

ok, so update...

I found a ferry line... I forget how... and all I got was a phone number... it was: +902122438468

They go every friday... but can only confirm they go 2 weeks in advance... They wanted just under USD 300 for 1 bike & 1 person.

We didn't take it as we adjusted our route to go via the Greek Islands to mainland Greece and then on to Italy instead of going through Romania...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
