Mediterranean lands travel
Any advice appreciated! We have our 2007 Isle of Man TT bookings confirmed and are now planning a tour after the TT. We are 2 Kiwi's in our 50's and travel on R100GS/PD. Planning to travel 8/2007 UK-Italy-Crete-Turkey-Syria-Jordan-Eygpt. After this? Libya-Tunisia- ferry to Europe-UK
Advice please on: Ferries, Italy to Crete/Turkey. Ferries either Eygpt-Europe? Tunisia-Europe? Any other advice on travel though these countries appreciated, like to make contact with anyone who has experience in these areas. thanks in anticipation, Rob and Lynda Hargreaves |

There are a few ferry links at www.4x4-travel.co.uk on the "links" page.
May be of some use.

Hi Rob and Lynda,
I hate to say this, but "use the Search function" for the Middle Eastern countries you want to visit. There are many posts about them. After some reading you may want to scrub Egypt and Lybia, due to bureaucratic hassles. For Egypt at least you will need a Carnet de Passage from the NZAA. Expect to deposit 400% of the current value of your bike until you return. No ferries to Egypt any more. Cheers, Peter Formerly from Rotorua. |

Hello Robert, I just sprained a wrist
with a very long post to another similar thread, so forgive me for being more concise.I am not aware of ferries from Italy to Crete, not at all. From Bari/Brindisi to Igloumenitsa and Patras, then from there find the ferries to Crete. email me at mpescatori@hotmail.com, and describe what you'd like to do, we'll see how to make you happy ![]() Maurizio from Rome, Italy
