How to add a favourite to garmin nuivi 2589

Hi

Can't seem to add a favourite. Can delete them but not add.
Nearest I can get to it, is to create a trip with the start location same as the end location and store that in Trips. When you select it, it will attempt to navigate you to the start location so it can do the trip. Not entirely ideal.

Thanks

Point to the spot on the map so the flag is showing.

Tap the address bar below the map which opens the "go" info screen

Tap the bar menu top left and you can then save it. Only trouble is you then have to rename it in another screen later

It Died

Bit of a short lived victory.

Yesterday when creating a favourite is flashed up "Battery Low". Switched itself off and is now dead. Won't switch on via usb or car power cable.. Will have to go back

That menu bar at the top actually provides access to a few features depending on which screen you have open, none of which are the slightest bit intuitive or logical. Not sure why they allow software people to dictate how the human interface works because they are notoriously bad at it.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
