Hey Gert,

from my own travelling through Africa I realised the leak of an
exchange stock for such data, so I implemented something I guess it will
work. Have a look: Routes, overnight places, accomodations, embassies, country details

This site has many more options than just sharing GPS-data for overland
travellers. For instance it is possible to get a roadbook with an allways up to date map-window and clickable markers generated out
of the database entries. Have a look: Routes, overnight places, accomodations, embassies, country details

If you like to share your data, it is very easy to feed the database.
Just send the .gpx file to newroute@traveller-tracks.com or
newpoi@traveller-tracks.com and that it was. Use your emailaddress which
you used for registering at Traveller-Tracks. If you do not like to
register, send the data directly to me (admin(at)traveller-tracks.com) and I will publish them under
your name with links to your homepage.

Looking forward to hear from you

Cheers Peter

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
