Amsterdam to Melbourne 2014 - through Nth Africa, Middle East and SE Asia

Having completed my trip from Vladivostok to Amsterdam this year on my BMW F800GS, I am planning for my return trip in 2014 through North Africa, the Middle East, and South East Asia. My route is:

Morocco
Algeria
Tunisia
Libya
Eqypt, (Israel, and Jordon if possible)
Saudi Arabia
UAE
Pakistan
India
Nepal
Thailand
Laos ( Burma if possible)
Vietnam
Cambodia
Malaysia
Singapore
Indonesia
Australia

I believe that the border between Morocco and Algeria is currently closed, but hopefully it will be open by 2014!

I would like to hear from anyone who have done a similar trip (or any part of the trip) on a motorcycle. Is there any other border crossing issues, tips, problems, etc.

Well it's definitely NOT common to head to India by going to Morocco first.. Maybe there are reasons for that? Algeria, Libya, Egypt all seem to offer some sort of problems. Getting Saudi visa also appears not easy, and it's not so much on the traveller map. Maybe its somehow possible afterall, but you definitely are looking at many problems to solve to be able to do it. There are easier options, but if you like challenges, maybe you want to try.

Burma is likely to stay nearly impossible, despite some encouraging news lately.

Yes, I rode through Central Asia, Turkey and Europe this year, and would like to ride back on a different route. I have also been backpacking from Morocco to Israel some twenty years ago. It was a fantastic trip.

It is not going to be easy, but I think it is worth the hassles.

I think I am a bit early on my planning as the entire region is very unstable at present. At least Libya is now possible, whereas it was out of bound before the revolution.
