Living in a Fairy Tale

A beautiful sunny day!
Start at 8 am from Bergen to arrive in the evening on the homonymous fjord in Geiranger, one of the most famous in Norway.



The roads are very nice, the asphalt and little traffic invite to keep a good ride, always in safety because wetlands can be anywhere .
During one of many stops to takes photos of this enchanting place, one of us comes up with the phrase that get best description of this place: "Norwegians are living in a fairy tale!"



No pictures can report the colors , the smells, the air, the silence broken only by the sound of streams.
Tomorrow awaits us one of the most beautiful stages of the trip , along the famous Atlantic Road; We hope that the climate
holds up, it will be fun.



Today 400 km around the Norwegian fjords, through the way of the trolls and the legendary Atlantic Road with its bridges
linking small islands.
The morning begins in the fog, which doesn't make to see the view from the top, however we see the beautiful Geiranger fjord.
We are close to the polar circle , but we met Italians everywhere; It's incredible as Italy, with the larger historical, cultural and artistic heritage, has to many people that love to trip and ride motorbikes travel!



In the afternoon we cross the famous Atlantic Road, and then we head down the road to Trondheim: beautiful curves,
ups and downs and perfect asphalt, there's no traffic or cameras...that it is the dream of every rider!
Along the fjords you move in three ways: over the bridges (many feet high because ships have to go under) , in the
tunnels (which go under water) or taking the ferry (today we have take three).
We are moving towards the north, in a few day we'll arrive to the Lofoten Islands and therefore, beyond the Arctic Circle.
I'm very excited!
Morning start with a drizzle that stay with us until noon, fortunately, at least not so cold.
In the afternoon, after entering the region of northern Norway (Norge), the situation changes completely: sunny, warm, no
traffic and all the streets are dry , wide and inviting.
Often on the roads, bars appear ready to close in the event of snow... even being used as a road track landing for aircraft.
Today we passed the 66th parallel , we almost close to stage symbolic of the Arctic Circle .



We arrived at the hotel early, so we also had time to make a trip to Mo I Rana before dinner, a smallish town where the shops
and pubs were already closing at 7.
On the other hand, we did a second lap after dinner and at ten o'clock the sky was still clear and the sun was just setting,
more you climb, more the days get longer (at this time of year).
We get to Caponord in a week exact, and there we can see the sun even at midnight!
