russia: visas versus publicity
Next year 5 of us from New Zealand are planning to head from Vladivostok to London. We're also aiming to raise money and awareness for a small grass-roots charity in Vladivostok that feeds the local homeless children. It is a legal, registered charity in Russia and New Zealand, and is run by a New Zealand woman.
We are planning to launch a website and start promoting the charity in about 6 weeks time (5-6 months out from departure).
My only concern is whether we'll be putting our chances of getting a Russian visa at risk by being associated with a charity (albeit a recognised, legitimate one).
Does anyone have any thoughts/experiences on this?
