Karasu border crossing Kygr to Kaz
Has anyone used the Karasu border crossing to go from Kyrg to Kaz? Apparently it is Multilateral but I can't find that much info confirming it.
Just trying avoid as Kordai one as apparently it is quite busy.

Hi
I wanted to use the same border for the same reasons. Meet on the way 2 Finnish bikers who tried and found out that is open just for locals not for foreigners. As consequence did not try to use it. Went at Korday 3 days ago and it was ok. Be careful to get your vehicle immigration form. They do not tell you and you will need it. Also get insurance after the border, is only 5$ and spares a lot of trouble. The way to Almaty is full of speed traps. Drive like the locals. Ride safe, Adrian

Thanks for that. I have ridden down the a couple of weeks ago o. The way I Shymkent. Same speed traps every where.
Have insurance from last time. Did you do your temporary import at the border or at the Heloos Petrol station?
