Ferry (RoRo) between USA to Vladivostok
This is run by a company called Fesco Line Schedule. It runs between Vlad and Seattle (Everett). Approx cost in 2013 was $800 for the ferry and $250 for an agent on the US side.
Although I did not use it myself due to a delay on the ship leaving port it does appear to be a good cheap method to make the crossing, no crate required.
Downside is the time. 2 weeks art sea, but the bike needs to be in the port 1 week before that for customs clearance.
The contact, Beth, was very helpful. BethJ <<AATT>> fesco-na [DDOOTT] com
