Clutch plates for xt660z tenere in UB?

Our riding companion Dave has fried his clutch trying to negotiate a swamp while looking for a campsite about 50 klm south of Telmen.

We managed to get his bike into town and on a truck to UB, does anyone know if it's possible to get clutch plates for a 2009 xt660z tenere there?

I know it's a long shot but worth a try.

Dave should be there in 24 hours and will stay at oasis.

Also he is trying to get the bike transported to either Astana, Almaty or Bishkek if anyone knows a company that does that?

Cheers, Tom

Hello Tom
I had the experience on my RTW with the XT660Z that it's very hard to get part around the world and especially in russia they have nothing in stock, they order it when needed and wait for it.
I would try to order it directly from Yamaha in europe and send it via airmail.
Pretty sure Oasis has contacts for the custom so it won't take ages.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
