hi arun

Hi Arun

Looks like you've got vehicle into Korea ok ? what did 'customs deposit' cost in the end ?

When you get to Sokcho there's a large national park about 10 or 15 kms south of the town, if you come in along the coastal road then stop at the tourist information on right side by the sea and the road opposite takes you to the park.

some very nice hiking, interesting budha statues/shrines and great little campsite with all facilities.

Before you guys leave Korea make sure you get to visit some of the local (LOCAL) bath houses. Very interesting (and cleansing !) experience.

Phil.

Korean Custom

Hi Phil,
Good to hear from you. The custom was so easy, i couldn't believe it. it took just about an hour and I was on road. No deposit -nothing. total cost $750.00 Includes shipping agent fee, custom , insurance, Bonded trucking to move the car from port to inspection center.
my hotel was walink distance so I walked and drove out with car.
Wendy has been awesome... I couldn't have done without her. you guys put me through a extermely nice person. she was there all the way. booked my hotels, assign a english speaking guy form her office in Busan, who happened to be right across my hotel.
So i couldn't ask any better.
Now the fun begins at Russia side.
I am taking a ferry on May15th and hope for the best. I have woman named Allie who i got through Tobias (swiss guy) and been touch with her.
I am in Seoul today and hanging out with Wendy.
Thanks Phil.
Take care
Regards
arun
