Paul, Garmin provide software for doing exactly this, it's called MapLoader. Link below. Just install it, download the OSM map you need and use the software to send it to the Navi.

... or go to Free worldwide Garmin maps from OpenStreetMap ,
download your maps and copy(!) them to the directory called "Garmin" on your device when connected a USB-drive to your computer.
Make sure not to overwrite files.
Go to mapp settings on your Zumo device and de-/activate maps you dis-/like.

you dont need that Maploader from Garmin. On OSM download the file gmapsupp.img (which you let them create (take care that it is not bigger than the max filesize for your device (4GB), so when creating the map on the page on the left they display the size and the number must be green (it changes when the filesize is to big to red).
Place this file in an Folder named Garmin best on an SD Card and plug it into your device... thats it...

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
