Garmin Quest 2, how easy to live with?

I have just purchased a Quest 2, I have been having problems with my old street pilot 2610, it keeps telling me 'map storage error' so I thought I'd give the Q2 a try, what experiences do any of you have with it, good or bad? ( the Q2 that is!!)

I had the Quest 2....

Funnily enough I swapped it for a 2610. The 2610 is miles better. Shame the reception is so DREADFUL on the old street pilots though.

The Quest 2 is a decent unit but like like the 2610, it's showing it's age. Especially as it only has internal memory. It's also push button only.

My 2610 had the same issues as you. You need to do a hard reset. Maybe try a different memory card too.

I've just bought a Garmin Etrex Vista HCX. It does everything the Quest did, has upgradable memory, gets reception INDOORS and runs on AA batteries.

The screen is smaller and it is a little but more fiddley to use but it's about £80 BRAND NEW on Amazon. Maybe worth a look if you're on a budget.
